Surplus pallets behind your building take up space, and sending them to a landfill costs money on top of that. We collect used pallets across Surrey and the Lower Mainland, pay for the stock that is still usable, and take the broken ones for recycling. This page covers what we accept, how a pickup works, and what you get.
What Happens to Your Pallets
| Condition | What we do | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Reusable 48×40, sound structure | Sorted, repaired where needed, back into service | Paid on the load |
| Usable but worn | Repaired or graded down | Paid on the load |
| Broken or damaged | Broken down and recycled | Collected at no cost to you |
| Non-standard sizes | Assessed at pickup | Quoted on the load |
Rates move with grade, quantity and where you are, so we quote on the actual load rather than publishing a flat number that would be wrong half the time. Call 778-385-1070 with a rough count and we will give you a figure.
The Count Is Agreed Before the Truck Leaves
Pallets are counted and graded on site, in front of you, and you get a receipt showing the count and the grade split. Nothing is recounted later at our yard and nothing is adjusted afterwards without telling you first.
This matters more than it sounds. Selling pallets is a transaction where people get burned, and the fix is simply doing the count where the seller can see it.
Free Pallet Removal
Not every load is worth paying for, but most are still worth collecting. Broken pallets, mixed stacks and odd sizes are taken off your hands at no charge on qualifying loads, which removes the disposal cost you would otherwise pay to put them in a bin.
This is worth doing for any operation that:
- Pays to send pallets to a landfill or transfer station
- Rents extra bin capacity to handle them
- Loses yard or warehouse space to a stack that keeps growing
- Receives far more pallets inbound than it ships out
What We Accept
Yes: standard 48×40 pallets in any condition, 48×48, 40×40, Euro and block pallets, broken and damaged wooden pallets, and mixed loads.
Call first: plastic pallets, loads with banding, nails or debris mixed through them, and anything that carried chemicals or hazardous material.
No: pallets that are soaked through, mouldy or rotted past recovery.
How a Pickup Works
- Send a photo. A picture of the stack tells us more than a description does. Text or call 778-385-1070.
- We confirm the count, the grade mix and a pickup window.
- Tell us about the site. Whether you have a forklift, whether there is a dock, and how tight the access is. This is the single thing that changes how long a pickup takes.
- Count, receipt, gone.
Where a collection can ride along with a delivery already routed your way, it usually happens sooner. If you are also buying pallets from us, say so when you book and we will try to put both on the same trip.
Where We Collect
Pickups run across the Lower Mainland from our Surrey yard: Surrey, Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Delta, Langley, Abbotsford and Chilliwack.
Buying and Selling on the Same Run
Plenty of businesses do both: they take in new or used stock and clear their old pallets at the same time. If that is you, it is worth putting both on one booking rather than two separate calls. Current supply pricing sits on the pricing page, and the full range is on pallets for sale in BC.
Why a Recycler Beats the Bin
A pallet that goes in a dumpster costs you twice, once for the space it takes in the bin and once in the disposal fee attached to it. The same pallet collected by a recycler is either repaired and put back into service or broken down for its timber.
For distribution centres, retailers and food processors that receive far more pallets than they send out, this is a cost that quietly runs all year until somebody books a standing collection.
Common Questions
Do you pay for used pallets?
Yes, for stock that is still usable. The rate depends on grade, quantity and your location, so it is quoted on the actual load rather than published as a flat figure. Broken pallets are collected for recycling at no cost to you.
How do I know the count is right?
Pallets are counted and graded on site, in front of you, and you get a receipt showing the count and the grade split before the truck leaves. Nothing is recounted later at our yard.
Do you take broken pallets?
Yes. Damaged and broken wooden pallets are collected and recycled. They are not usually paid for, but taking them costs you nothing and clears the space, which is normally the point.
Do you collect outside Surrey?
Yes, across the Lower Mainland including Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, New Westminster, Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Distance affects scheduling more than it affects whether we come.
How long does a pickup take?
It depends on the count and whether there is a forklift on site. Tell us the quantity and your loading setup when you call and you will get a realistic window rather than a guess.
What if I need them gone today?
Call 778-385-1070 rather than emailing. Same day is not guaranteed, but where a truck is already routed near you it is sometimes possible.
Can I sell pallets and buy new ones at the same time?
Yes, and it is usually the cheaper way to do it. Mention both when you book and we will try to put the delivery and the collection on the same trip.
